    About this opportunity

    Welcome to Profitability & Capital Management, a centre of excellence for profitability, capital, funding and other balance sheet related topics. We drive tasks, projects and working groups related to strategic and operational topics in close dialogue with senior management of Business Areas and Group Functions. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play an important role in strengthening the decision foundation for senior stakeholders, including defining strategies related to profitability and capital for the Business Areas.

    What you'll be doing:

  • Scoping and implementing strategic and operational assignments in close collaboration with members of the Profitability & Capital Management team and senior stakeholders
  • Sparring with Business Area leaders and other key stakeholders on capital and profitability related issues
  • Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders in Nordea including the three Business Areas (LC&I, PeB & BB), Group Finance, Group Credit Management and Group Risk
  • Identifying and implementing capital optimization and profitability enhancement opportunities on customer, as well as portfolio level
  • Visualizing analyses and conclusions in a short, simple and crystal-clear format and based on your findings communicate clear, actionable recommendations
  • You will join a highly skilled, diverse and dedicated team with strong skills in areas such as capital, funding, programming, modelling, data and systems and project management. The role could be based in either Copenhagen, Helsinki or Stockholm.

  • Your ideal experience and background:

  • Interest in and understanding of the banking business, capital optimization and profitability uplift
  • Interest in working on complex analytical tasks without an obvious solution
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Experience working with or close to our customers, e.g. customer relationship manager or similar role within a product area (preferable but not necessary)
