At the Faculty of Management and Business, we teach and carry out high-quality, international research in the areas of administrative sciences, business studies, politics, information and knowledge management, and industrial engineering and management. With 3,500 students and more than 300 staff members, our Faculty is a large academic community.

In the Doctoral Programme in Administrative Sciences, Business Studies and Politics, students can complete the following doctoral degrees: Doctor of Administrative Sciences, Doctor of Science (Econ./Business Adm.), Doctor of Social Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy. We have fully funded Doctoral Researcher (postgraduate student) positions open as follows:

Job description

Doctoral Researchers are expected to:

• pursue a doctoral degree in one of the subjects of our doctoral programme and
• participate in teaching and other specified tasks.

Requirements

The persons selected to the positions are expected to:

• have a Master's degree or equivalent from a university,
• present a research and study plan approved by a supervisor and
• have been accepted to pursue a doctoral degree in the Doctoral Programme in Administrative Sciences, Business Studies and Politics, before signing the employment contract.

Successful candidates are selected based on the level of scientific promise they show. This will be evaluated on the basis of their research and study plans as well as their track record in previous studies. Evidence of the progress of the doctoral dissertation and/or scientific publishing is considered an advantage.

Priority will be given to applicants who have not received full-time funding for four years before the end of the application period.

Before applying, the applicant must secure a supervisor for their doctoral thesis by communicating with the Unit that is closest to the subject area of their thesis.

Please note that applicants for the Doctoral Researcher positions must apply separately to the Doctoral Programme in Administrative Science, Business Studies and Politics, unless they have already been granted the right to pursue doctoral studies in that Programme.

We offer

The doctoral researcher positions will be filled for a fixed-term period beginning on January 1, 2026. The positions will be filled for 1—3 years, and the duration of the employment period depends on the research phase. A trial period (of six months) applies to all our new employees.

The salary will be based on both the job demands and the employee's personal performance in accordance with the University Salary System. The current starting salary for this position is €2714. Our incentive salary system for Doctoral Researchers ensures that the salary increases as the doctoral thesis and studies progress.

Johtamisen ja talouden tiedekunnassa tehdään korkeatasoista, monitieteistä ja kansainvälistä tutkimusta ja annetaan opetusta hallintotieteiden, kauppatieteiden, politiikan tutkimuksen, tietojohtamisen ja tuotantotalouden tutkimusaloilla. Hallintotieteiden, kauppatieteiden ja politiikan tutkimuksen tohtoriohjelmassa koulutetaan hallintotieteiden, kauppatieteiden ja yhteiskuntatieteiden tohtoreita. Tohtoriohjelmassa on avoinna väitöskirjatutkijan rahoitettuja tehtäviä.

Tehtävänkuvaus

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävänä on:

• suorittaa tohtorin tutkinto Tampereen yliopistossa hallintotieteiden, kauppatieteiden ja politiikan tutkimuksen tohtoriohjelmassa sekä
• osallistua lisäksi opetustoimintaan ja muihin määriteltyihin tehtäviin.

Edellytykset

Tehtävään valittavalta edellytämme

• ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa,
• ohjaajan hyväksymää opinto- ja tutkimussuunnitelmaa sekä
• ennen työsuhteen alkamista myönnettyä jatko-opinto-oikeutta hallintotieteiden, kauppatieteiden ja politiikan tutkimuksen tohtoriohjelmaan.

Valinnan perusteena on hakijan tieteellinen lupaavuus, jota arvioidaan esitetyn tutkimus- ja opintosuunnitelman sekä aiemmissa opinnoissa osoitetun menestyksen perusteella. Näytöt väitöskirjatyön etenemisestä ja/tai tieteellisestä julkaisemista ovat eduksi.

Tehtävää täytettäessä otetaan huomioon myös hakijan aiemmin päätoimiseen väitöskirjatyöskentelyyn saama rahoitus. Etusijalla ovat ne hakijat, jotka ennen hakuajan päättymistä eivät ole saaneet päätoimista työskentelyä mahdollistavaa rahoitusta neljää vuotta.

Hakijalla on ennen hakemuksen jättämistä oltava ohjaaja siitä Tampereen yliopiston yksiköstä, jonka alaan väitöskirja kuuluu.

Tohtorikoulutettavan tehtävää hakevien tulee hakea erikseen hallintotieteiden, kauppatieteiden ja politiikan tutkimuksen tohtoriohjelmaan, ellei heille ole jo myönnetty oikeutta suorittaa tohtoriopintoja kyseisessä ohjelmassa.

Tarjoamme

Tehtävä täytetään alkaen ja määräaikaisesti 1—3 vuoden ajalle. Työsuhteen kesto määräytyy väitöskirjatyön vaiheen perusteella. Tehtävässä on työehtosopimuksen mukainen kuuden kuukauden koeaika.

Tehtävän palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkausjärjestelmän mukaisesti. Tämänhetkinen väitöskirjatutkijan aloituspalkka on 2714 euroa. Tehtävästä saatu ansio kasvaa palkkausmallin mukaisesti väitöskirjatyön edetessä.

• tarkka selvitys väitöskirjatutkimusta varten aiemmin saaduista apurahoista tai selvitys aiemmasta työsuhteesta valtakunnallisessa tutkijakoulussa tai vastaavassa
• ohjaajan/ohjaajien yhteystiedot mahdollisia lisätietoja varten

Huomioithan, että et voi hakea tehtävää, ellei sinulla ole ennalta sovittua ohjaajaa Tampereen yliopistossa siinä opintosuunnassa, jonka alaan väitöskirjatutkimuksesi liittyy.
