    The Opportunity:

Avantor's Marketing Communications vertical is a crucial part of this mix, enabling all our internal teams worldwide to grow beyond their limits.

    This exciting role within the evolving Global Communications and Brand team will lead a global team that enhances and provides new opportunities for our network of suppliers to gain more exposure to end-buyers through Avantor's distribution channel.

    The Director, Integrated Marketing is responsible for the strategic communication efforts for Avantor by creating and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that includes website presence, media/press and stakeholder outreach, event planning, publications production, marketing and other tactics as necessary. Set priorities for innovative approaches to communications and leverages traditional and new media opportunities. Plans and implements policies and programs to enhance Avantor's relations with the community, investors, and employees. Manages a large team or multiple teams led by Managers and/or Supervisors

    This role will be based in the U.S. and collaborate globally with Avantor's strategic marketing, product portfolio and commercial leaders, members of Avantor's global communications and brand team, as well as internal agency partners to oversee the strategy, development and execution of integrated marketing communications campaigns, content and programs. The role will also be accountable for measuring and reporting program results on a routine basis to drive optimization and visibility.

    What we're looking for:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience: 12+ years of communications, marketing, brand management or related agency experience with a successful track record in planning and executing global marketing communications campaigns. Minimum 5 years' experience working hands-on in digital marketing.

    Who you are:

    • Experience coaching and leading diverse, global teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor budgets, control expenditures and optimize resource allocation.
    • Demonstrated expertise in establishing metrics, measuring impact, and optimizing campaigns, including the ability to assess specific marketing tactic attribution.
    • Client service mindset and disposition.
    • Experience working with biotechnology, pharma, med device, life sciences, or advanced technology businesses/products highly desired
    • Passion for communications and marketing paired with desire to build something from the ground up.
    • Strong ability to build productive relationships and lead development of marketing communications strategies through interactions with diverse internal and external business partners, including company senior leadership across a variety of functions and geographies. A team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills is key.
    • Operates with a proactive mindset and be geared toward collaborative problem-solving.
    • Amenable to ambiguity and able to see past today; can adjust to meet market demands and business realities with creativity.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-growth environment. Shares values of taking initiative, accountability, and prioritization.
    • Primarily based in U.S.; travel internationally and domestically 10-15%.

    • Coach and lead a team to build and strengthen supplier relationships, demonstrating the value of our marketing programming to their business.
    • Optimize and oversee the performance of the suite of marketing communication programming available to suppliers to maximize their value, including but not limited to: Avantor publications, e-commerce site promotions, e-newsletters, paid/organic social, search, banner ads, etc.
    • Establish best practices for launching new product offerings.
    • Build and implement integrated marketing communication strategic plans aligned to key initiatives and business objectives utilizing digital omnichannel marketing best practices.
    • Maintain an understanding of target customer segments and the value propositions for the most strategic workflows/products/services.
    • Develop messaging and content tailored to key personas, audience segments and channels.
    • Apply knowledge of life sciences and health care to leverage the whole of Avantor's solutions and capabilities for measurable results.
    • Articulate a clear vision and objective for integrated marketing programs and provide ongoing strategic direction to team members, the in-house and external creative services team.
    • Collaborate with strategic marketing, commercial and portfolio teams to integrate inputs into high-performing campaigns.
    • Monitor and report progress against targets/metrics for overall campaign results. Develop actionable insights to address gaps or resistance.
    • Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging analytics to optimize customer engagement, improve product positioning, and increase market share.
    • Oversee concept development, content creation, and design for marketing materials, digital assets, and trade collateral that effectively communicate product value to customers.

    Pay Transparency:

    The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

    $148, $247,000.00

    Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
