    To support the growth of our manufacturing operations, we are now seeking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to be based at our flagship facility in Lappeenranta, Finland.

    In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling overall Manufacturing programs in Lappeenranta, resulting in significant advancements in productivity, product cost, quality, and product delivery. Leading a team of 4 Engineers, you will provide the necessary technical direction for productivity and overall product cost reduction while meeting production schedules. You will manage teamwork with cross function for productivity, continuous improvement and cost reduction activity. You will be responsible to coordinate implementation of new products in Lappeenranta factory, ensuring that cost, timing and quality will meet or exceed expectations.

    Job Responsibilities


    The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for:

    • Supervise and provide direction to Production Engineers towards manufacturing engineering deliverables and responsibilities.
    • Recruit, train, and appraise the performance of subordinate staff.
    • Participate in and coordinate the implementation of new products into manufacturing through team-based review and approval.
    • Develop and coordinate annual CAPEX plans & projects for cost reduction, capacity expansion and safety.
    • Lead Continuous Improvement in all aspects to ensure overall operations efficiency up and manufacturing cost down
    • Implement action to prevent occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system through appropriate quality tools.
    • Lead engineering efforts toward business system audits, quality audits, and lean manufacturing system audits.
    • Consider safety, health and environmental impact of new equipment, and meet the EHS requirements.
    • Understanding and complying with all safety rules and company policies.

    Background & Skills


    The successful Manufacturing Engineering Manager will display:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification within mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field
    • Detailed experience in Manufacturing Engineering with at some supervisory experience within a relevant industry, such as automotive, off-highway equipment or similar
    • Proven technical skills on manufacturing and assembly processes, preferrable of electro-mechanical products
    • Practical experience on using tools for problem solving, such as 8D, 5 Why, FEMA, SPC, 6 Sigma
    • Experience in New Product Development (NPD), Develop/Implement capital & facility programs, capacity plans, business system and product changes
    • Knowledge of Customer Specific requirements (IATF16949:2016 / ISO9000 / ISO and relevant industry standards
    • Knowledge and execution experience as it relates to APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow
    • Strong experience in leading and developing people, with demonstrated result of achieved positive organizational cultural change
    • Ability to leverage cross-functional resources to support manufacturing requirements
    • Fluent English written and verbal language skills
