Are you early in your finance career, but hungry to learn, take responsibility, and grow in a global environment that's building the future of electric mobility?

We are looking for a (Junior) Financial Controller to strengthen our client's Accounting team at Virta.

Virta is a fast-growing global EV charging platform company, enabling businesses to build and scale smart, sustainable charging networks for the future of electric mobility.

In this role, you will play a key part in our client's finance operations, helping ensure high-quality financial reporting, building scalable processes, and working closely with the Head of Accounting and key stakeholders.

What kind of person are we looking for?
You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
You already have some experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting (1-3 years)
You have strong analytical skills and are very detail oriented. Your work method is really hands-on, proactive, collaborative and you are not afraid to take ownership of your responsibilities.

Having experience in a start-up of similar fast growing environments is highly valued but even more important is that you are comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced company.

You have excellent written and spoken English skills, Finnish skills is a plus
As per technical requirements, proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, experience with NetSuite is a plus.

g:
Taking part in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and clear supporting documentation
Supporting group reporting and consolidation in an international environment
Helping maintain accounting policies and internal guidelines
Working closely with the Head of Accounting in day-to-day accounting topics
Helping improve and scale accounting and reporting processes as the company grows
Supporting the implementation and development of finance systems and tools
Working with different teams to ensure financial data is accurate and reliable
Helping strengthen documentation and internal controls
Preparing materials for audits and work with external auditors
Supporting statutory reporting and compliance tasks
Looking for ways to simplify processes and improve efficiency
Supporting automation and help build scalable finance processes

Location:
Hybrid – minimum 1–2 days per week at the client's office in Helsinki. (More often in the beginning)

Billing rate:
€22–35/hour + VAT. (Depending on previous relevant experience) Work is carried out under an entrepreneur model with a service agreement.

Start date:
The planned start date is April 1st.

The role will begin with a six-month consulting contract with Lenz, after which you will have the opportunity to transition into an employment contract with our client Virta.

This is a full-time position.
